Jennifer Jang
Jennifer Jang, M.S.Ed., M.A., M.S., (she/her) is a Registered Psychology Associate and Counseling Psychology doctoral student at the University of Maryland. She earned three master’s degrees in Counseling and Counseling Psychology and completed fieldwork at a private practice, intensive outpatient,
and university counseling center. Jen is passionate about working with diverse populations and has experience working with a variety of concerns related to trauma, self-esteem, identity exploration, immigrant family dynamics, interpersonal distress, depression, and anxiety. In therapy, she uses a multicultural and strengths-based approach, integrating Psychodynamic-Interpersonal Therapy, Relational-Cultural Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. She also received training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Gottman Method Couples Therapy- Level 1. Jen aims to provide a safe, non-judgmental, and warm space for people to receive support, empathy, insight, and guidance. She is committed to uplifting clients by affirming their full humanity and identities
and by honoring their strengths and stories. Jen works diligently and compassionately to provide therapy that is tailored to each client and their healing and growth.
