Dr. Janae Cephas

Dr. Janae Cephas (she/her) is a registered psychology associate in the state of Maryland practicing under the supervision of Dr. Victoria Lee. She earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) from Loyola University Maryland. Dr. Cephas has worked with children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of settings, including private practice, college counseling, outpatient hospital, and community mental health. She has experience conducting individual and group therapy, as well as assessments. Her professional interests include working with individuals from diverse backgrounds experiencing depression, anxiety, life stressors, trauma-related symptoms, family or relationship conflicts, and adjustment concerns. Her therapeutic style is integrative, informed primarily by cognitive behavioral therapy, person centered therapy, strength-based therapy, and interpersonal therapy. Dr. Cephas views therapy as a collaborative process and focuses on providing a safe, warm, non-judgmental environment where clients can be their authentic selves and work toward meeting their goals.
